Apple Pay Now Available with Bivial Debit Cards

Bivial AG is pleased to announce the addition of Apple Pay to its business debit cards, providing a faster, safer, and more secure way for its clients to conduct their daily purchases in a contactless manner using their iPhone or Apple Watch devices. Approved Bivial debit card users are able to begin using the contactless function immediately via Apple Pay, while online payments are also supported on iPads and Macs.
Widely considered the world’s leading digital wallet, Apple Pay is a service by Apple Inc. that allows users to make payments in person, in iOS apps, and on the web using Safari. Apple Pay offers a safer and faster way to transact in-store and online. Utilizing a security method called tokenization, Apple Pay avoids the need to share the user’s card number ensuring that their card details remain safe and secure.
Using Apple Pay online, Bivial clients will no longer have to insert 16-digit credit or debit card numbers, expiry dates, or security codes. After completing a simple one-time setup of their credit or debit card, users will be able to make purchases in a physical store or in a webshop by accessing their Apple Pay and verifying their transactions using Face ID.
In a post-pandemic world, the adoption of mobile wallets continues to increase with contactless payments accounting for 29% of total transactions in physical stores worldwide in 2021, while projections estimate a further increase to 39% by 2024. With Bivial's clients largely comprising of digital entrepreneurs including e-commerce merchants and social media influencers, Apple Pay’s seamless tap-to-pay service is an indispensable part of their day-to-day transactions.
“Apple Pay has become one of the most popular payment methods thanks to its ease of use and high levels of security and privacy. We're therefore extremely pleased to extend Apple Pay to Bivial clients, offering them greater convenience, flexibility, and security in their day-to-day transactions” commented Martynas Bieliauskas, Bivial CEO.
